Current window status:
You should check your current windows. If it in poor condition you should repair them before install secondary glazing.
What are the benefits?
The main benefit is preventing heat loss, thus saving on energy bill. It works by trapping still air between the glazing panes crating a thermal barrier.
Secondary benefit is acoustic, it essentially reduce the noise.
How can it be installed?
There are many professional companies available today. You can just give them a call.
Practically it is installed inner side of your existing windows, without altering anything.
How much it will cost?
Secondary glazing is far less expensive comparing with normal double glazing.
Which company shall I use?
It is very difficult to choose the right installer, you should get minimum of 3 different quotes from diverse localized independent companies and the select best.
I would recommend the Chelsea secondary glazing London they are one of the best company in greater London.  All of their work is grantee for 10 years. Which is a long time.
